About Studds Accessories Ltd

Founded in 1975, Studds Accessories is one of the most trusted names in India’s two-wheeler accessory market. The company designs, manufactures, and sells helmets and motorcycle accessories under two key brands: ‘Studds’ and ‘SMK’.

  • The Studds brand caters to the mass and mid-level market.
  • The SMK brand, launched in 2016, focuses on the premium motorcycle segment.
  • Apart from helmets, the company offers products like riding jackets, gloves, eyewear, luggage, and rain suits.

Global Reach and Partnerships

Studds Accessories products are sold in over 70 countries, including markets across Europe, the Americas, and Asia. The company also manufactures helmets for global brands such as Daytona (Jay Squared LLC) and O’Neal, which are distributed in the US, Europe, and Australia.

According to a CARE Ratings report, Studds is the world’s largest two-wheeler helmet manufacturer by volume (CY2024) and India’s biggest by revenue (FY2024). As of March 31, 2025, its three factories together had an annual production capacity of 9.04 million helmets, with around 7.4 million units sold in FY2025.

Strong Industry Presence

The company supplies helmets and accessories to major motorcycle OEMs like:

  • Hero MotoCorp
  • Honda Cars India
  • Suzuki Motorcycle India
  • Eicher Motors (Royal Enfield)
  • India Yamaha Motor

It also serves government and institutional clients, including Central Police Canteens and the Canteen Stores Department (CSD).

IPO Structure and Listing

  • 50% of the IPO is reserved for Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIBs)
  • 35% for Retail Investors
  • 15% for Non-Institutional Investors (NIIs)

The issue is managed by IIFL Capital Services and ICICI Securities, with the Studds Accessories IPO listing date expected to be November 7, 2025, on the NSE and BSE.

A Second Attempt at Listing

This is Studds Accessories’ second attempt at going public. The company had previously filed draft papers with SEBI in 2018, but decided not to proceed at that time.

With strong brand recognition, global presence, and growing demand in India’s two-wheeler market, the Studds Accessories IPO is generating significant investor interest ahead of its launch.
